Bus Tops

The tops of bus shelters are massively underused and also opens up a secret world of communication to those on the top deck.
Bus-Tops is a proposed installation of approximately 40 1.5m x 1m LED panels on the roofs of bus shelters across all London boroughs. It is one of 5 shortlisted proposal for the Artists Taking The Lead fund, a major project of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad being developed by Arts Council England in partnership with London 2012 and the arts councils of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Reminds me of an idea I was thinking of for the Olympics - how cool would it be if we could change the streetlamps around greater london to enable the olympic rings to be viewed from space…maybe just me then

Superlambanana anyone?

Created by Uniform, a liverpool agency, it will be helping the city to celebrate an iconic piece of public art, Uniform has captured its very own Superlambanana, which currently resides in its cage at Art House Square in the heart of Liverpool’s creative quarter, for all to see, feed, question and ponder.
